A Happy Marriage
My husband and kids seldom miss an opportunity to crack a joke about my relationship with time. If you asked one of them, they’d probably say that time and I have long been separated. I see things differently and prefer to think that time and I respect one another enough to make as few demands as possible in the relationship. Time does his thing, I do mine, and we’re both quite confident that one will be there for the other, when the need arises.
A more straightforward way of explaining the situation would be this: I long ago (mostly) stopped living my life according to society’s schedule. If you can manage to the do the same, I highly recommend it.
