Enough with the Labels

I used to think in terms of labeling myself: Am I a writer? Am I a photographer? Am I an artist? Well, not exactly. Now, I prefer to think of myself as a woman who writes well and enjoys exploring the possibilities to be found in a camera or a tube of paint.

Then there are the books. I guess if I did want to label myself, the most accurate word to apply next to my name would be “reader,” or better yet, “learner,” because when I dig deeply enough, I realize that learning is what drives me.
